Hope you didn’t mean 33pounds of shrimp, as y our recipe states
1.33 – 1 1/3 lb
1.33
Really?
1.33 Pounds not 33
It says 1.33 lbs. Its meaning 1 as in number 1, then 2 then 3.
Wrong….those aren’t itemized, they are measurements. Just coincidence that they come up as 1, 2, 3.
clearly states 1. 33 oz, I’d be good with 33 kbs thought 🤔 😋 thank you for the recipe 💕
33 lbs
Some people just can’t read!!!
I’m laughing.
OMG it says 1.33 Lbs
It reads .33
No! It’s 1.33 lbs. wow
I tried this recipe, it was okay but not as flavorful as I thought it was going to be. I prefer sautéing on the stove. I also prefer olive oil to butter. I also noticed that the picture shows shrimp cooked unpeeled which makes for a better picture but not better for eating
This is actually a classic New Orlenas dish that is known as BBQ Shrimp .(even though it is not BBQ) They serve it with serves bread on the side to dip in the buttere sauce. Shrimp cooked in the shell has much more flavor than peeled shrimp.
Look again the shrimp is peeled,, also the recipe says peeled shrimp.
Quit being so rude
I’m getting so tired of Rude people. Everyday it seems there’s more and more. I wonder how this all started.
Looks to me that the shrimp are peeled and deveined, just tails left on,,, tail on or off is personal preference!
.33 or 1/3 pound.
Read.
1.33 lbs = 1 and 1/3 pounds
1.33 lbs.
You’re a freaking idiot it’s 1.33 which means 1 pound and a third
She must be terribly embarrassed by now, please don’t call people idiots, shows your lack of compassion.
it’s not like she shot your dog. We need to start really looking at situations and pick our battles much better.
👍🏽
1.33 lbs
That is 1 1/3 lbs
Fix the recipe how ever you read it.
That’s what I’d do. If you read it with 33 lbs of Shrimp, use 33 lbs. Shrimp. If you read 1/3 cup Shrimp, use 1/3 cup Shrimp.
Personally, I will be using 1 1/3 cups Shrimp. I hope yours come out as well as mine.
I agree with you Connie, I’m sure some people don’t understand fractions
Last I looked, lbs was pounds, not cups.
I don’t cook, but I know 1.33 lb is 1 1/3 lb. I guess some people like to argue.. and don’t comprehend. Sounds delicious! I may even try it. Thank you for the recipe!
It says 1.33
1.33 the ingredients are not listed 1 2 3 it just seems like it because of the amount of the first 3 ingredients amounts
It says 1.33 not 33
he said 1. 33 pounds of shrimp
1.33 is what she said !!
Hello Sandy,
Just ignore those who were giving you grief, it was an honest mistake and a mistake that everybody makes one time or another.
Don’t let the rude comments get you down, one day you’ll look back on this recipe and have a good chuckle and believe me when I say that.
The first time I baked chocolate chip cookies, I was 11 or 12, I used one pound of butter instead of one cup. The cookies turned into a buttery single slab on the cookie sheet, very rich and very tasty. Well Sweetie, that was close to 50 years ago and to this day, every time I bake chocolate chip cookies I chuckle to myself.
you seem to be very chill. People are “looking ” for arguments. Thank you for not jumping in. If someone does something good for someone, it puts you in a good mood all day. I don’t know why people are so angry.
It says 1.33 pounds on the recipe.
Recipe says 1.33 pounds of shrimp.
It did not say 33 pounds of shrinp!!!
No…it says 1.33 pounds of shrimp….1 is the weight not the number of the first ingredient!! lol
read again, 1# 33oz.
It reads 1.33 pounds
Sounds good
1.33 lbs is equal to 1 1/3 lbs of shrimp
The 1. Indicates this is the first instruction. LOL.
No, the 1.33 means one point three three pounds
If you look further the instructions have a 1 2 3 but no . or space after them.
LOL
None of the other ingredients are numbered…just the amounts are there.
Yes they are!!! READ!!!
1.33 the ingredients are not listed 1 2 3 it just seems like it because of the amount of the first 3 ingredients amounts
I’m ok with 33 pounds. Lol
The recipe is correct! But 33 lbs. of shrimp would be great!
I agree!!
It should read as step 1 is .33 pounds of shrimp
Some people never learned to read or learn mathematical.
I understood 1.33 was equal to 1 1/3pounds .
Th is looks great! Wonder how it would taste if you added a little lemon juice to the shrimp mixture as well.
Lemon juice is one of the recipe’s ingredients.
Yes, it’s Step 1 of the recipe & .33 (one third of a pound) of shrimp, although why not 1/2 a pound???
No, Lynn, it’s not. It’s 1.33 lbs of shrimp. Jeez, people!
They just can’t seem to understand that it is 1.33 lbs of shrimp and that is exactly how it is written in the recipe. In other words people one and one third pound of shrimp.
Kids!
Why heat the oven just cook in fry pan ? Don’t get it
Try the oven. It’s really different and delicious.
Recipe in facebook page is different. Guess its a guessing game as to amount of each.
Recipe on Facebook is totally different then the one when you tap onto full recipe???
Yes it is…. I’m like WTH??
Surely no one is dense enough to think that read 33lbs??? Good grief!
I am happy with any shrimps I love them thank you
I just wasted 2 minutes of my life reading these idiotic remarks! Feel like I’m back in kindergarten!🙄🙄
Didn’t anyone catch the mistake ? On the main page it says 1 1/2 stick of butter. On this page it says 2 tablespoons of butter.
Is it 2 tablespoons of butter or 1-1/2 sticks of butter?
Wondering the same! Huge difference.
How many does this recipe serve?
WOW. That’s all I got after reading these comments. WOW. However I appreciate you sharing the recipe.
Side note: If one can’t figure out a simple recipe such as this, might want to steer clear of the kitchen for safety reasons. If the completely ignorants comments were don’t purposely to hurt the author or start negative drama, SHAME on you. GROW UP.
Another side note: I will absolutely NOT be responding to any comments to this one. I don’t even read anymore after I screen shot the recipe. I have grown up stuff to do😳. Thanks again for sharing this recipe. Trying tonight❤️
Very well put!!!
I can’t get over all the time spent commenting on how many shrimp! Use as many as you want!
Recipe is totally different from where posted on Facebook and here. Which is it? 1.5 sticks of butter or 2 TBSP? 1 tsp Italian seasoning or 1 packet Good Seasons Italian dressing?
I was wondering the same thing!! Did you ever make it?
You all just ruined the whole receipt for me because of all the bs about the weight. How many people have to chime in to say exactly the same thing????
Excellent. I added smoked paprika and green beans as a side. Yum!!
How much butter did you use please?
New Orleans BBQ shrimp has lots if black pepper and maybe some worstershire sauce. Bug definitelh black pepper.
Good recipe. Love it.
Recipe sounds very good. I read on another site that if the shrimp are cooked with the shells on, the shrimp remain juicy and flavorful. Thanks for posting your recipe.
This would be why people hesitate to share! Unbelievable! People have way too much time on their hands! Thank you for sharing I appreciate it!
I ate this as a teen (with lots of black pepper, if I recall correctly) and it’s amazing!!! Messy, but yummy! THANK YOU for sharing.
What a bunch of fricken idiots. Some of you don’t have enough sense to turn the oven on, Judy go to red lobster and order it
Sounds good.
I can’t believe all the discussion (and rudeness) regarding a measurement. I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed, and I clearly read 1.3 pounds= one and a third pounds. Let’s try to not be rude over such small things. Kindness goes a long way! If you’re that focused on the measurements, you need to get a life. Have a great weekend and a big thanks for sharing this recipe. It looks wonderful!
Bring me all the left overs.lol
It may be confusing at first but it is 1.33 lbs. of shrimp. They are not listing the recipe by steps.
Looks great and going to try 😋
One and a third pounds of shrimp unpeeled. Once you peel the shrimp you will have one pound of peeled shrimp. This is a very good recipe 👍
Wow I can’t believe all the arguing about a simple measurement that the lady clearly read wrong, and the more you tried to steer her in the right direction she still took it south! Whether she is trying to be funny or just can’t do fractions, stay out of the kitchen until someone can help you achieve wat you set out to do. 11/2-2 sticks of butter is good enough to cover that much shrimp and leave some of the juice to dip your bread in. Let’s try and be nice when others others are sharing. Thank you for sharing, I tried it and just loved it. I let it marinate for 45 minutes and the flavor came through so well.
Thank you, thank you for expressing yourself so eloquently. People are becoming out of hand. They are “looking ” for a fight. Thank you for being a human. A human we don’t see much anymore.
To the person using 1/3 cup of shrimp. You will have about 3 shrimp to eat! It’s 1 1/3 lbs of shrimp! Good grief!
All these comments just tickled me to death…I mean belly laugh!
I want to know why there’s a man’s photo with missing, rotted teeth at the top.
Just tried this recipe with 33 lbs of shrimp, I was only able to get down about 30 lbs and now I’m not feeling that well. I would suggest you use less shrimp than that. cmon people laugh a little.
oh for the love of GOD!! It’s a shrimp recipe, people! I think it looks WONDERFUL! Get off your self righteous soap boxes, and go volunteer your epic math skills! People argue over anything, anymore!
…to bad people have to be so nasty, all the nasty ones should go back to bed and wake up right!!!
If you’re gonna do 33 pounds of shrimp just quadruple the other ingredients…I LOVE shrimp so 33 pounds sounds damn good to me 🤣🤣🤣
I ain’t very smart but I know what 1.33 means!!
oh my God, figure it out. it’s not brain surgery, and to the rude people- shut up.
I am trying to figure out where the Parmesan comes in….is it in the Italian dressing? Thanks for the recipe- I’m always looking for something different.
Sorry, I just re-read the recipe, I see the parm cheese now…
This reminds This reminds of the first cake I ever baked at age 11. I thought I had followed the recipe correctly but when my proud mother took the first bite, she asked how much salt I had used. I said 1/4 cup. She gave me a bite and I was horrified at the salt tase. I looked at the recipe again and noted that it said 1/4 tsp. I became very careful from that day on!
I must be truly bored! the failure to read correctly., understand fractions, and subject and verb agreements have m ade me quite nauseated!
I made this. So easy, and we all loved it!
I wasn’t sure at first about the .33 but I had a 1 pound bag in.the freezer and I really didnt realize and not care. However wow what is wrong with y’all being so angry and ugly to a small simple question ❓ I mean dang she wasn’t asking you anything personal about yourselves. I didn’t realize about the .33 until I read the comments and realized it was 1/3 I was like wow JoJo that was a big brain burp 😂 but honestly it didn’t warrant being chastised and ganged up on for a simple mistake. unless you all are walking on water, I’d consider how you speak to , yes even from your key board.
You have too much time on ur hands. Got JOBS??? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
smfh 😖 The weight seems to cause such a commotion here. jeez!
